In August 2026, at CIMI360, the International Real Estate Market Congress in Brazil, I was chosen to receive the REALTOR® pin from the President of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), Kevin Brown. It was one of the most important moments of my career, and a recognition of great meaning for any REALTOR®.
The stage: CIMI360
The third edition of CIMI360 took place on August 27 and 28 at Riocentro, in Rio de Janeiro. It brought together more than 8,600 registered participants, 1,400 of them from 43 countries, plus 96 hands-on workshops, more than one hundred speakers and simultaneous translation in Portuguese, English and Spanish. The first day coincided with Brazil's National Real Estate Broker Day, marking 64 years since the profession was regulated in the country.
It was in this setting, with the Brazilian and international markets in the same room, that NAR President Kevin Brown was present.
Three professionals chosen
Three people were chosen, for their professional careers, to receive the REALTOR® pin: the President of the COFECI-CRECI System, João Teodoro, the real estate broker Vania Amaral, and me. Standing next to professionals with such a history, and receiving the pin from the NAR President in front of so many colleagues, is an honor I carry with deep gratitude.
It all started with a course
This path began with an international course taken through the COFECI-CRECI System, the federal council that regulates real estate brokers in Brazil. That course made me an International Member of NAR. Then, step by step, came dedication, connections and the commitment to take the Brazilian market beyond borders, all the way to that day.
Not every U.S. agent is a REALTOR®
REALTOR® is the mark of professionals who are members of NAR and commit to its Code of Ethics. It is not just a title. It is a way of working, with responsibility toward clients and colleagues, and that is what makes the pin so meaningful.
My international journey
- International REALTOR® Member: membership in the National Association of REALTORS®
- CIPS™: Certified International Property Specialist
- ABR®: Accredited Buyer's Representative
- RSPS™: Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist
What the pin means to me
The REALTOR® pin I wear stands for much more than my work in real estate. It symbolizes my belonging to the National Association of REALTORS®, my commitment to professional ethics and my international connection with professionals who share the same values and responsibilities.
Gratitude and purpose
This recognition reinforces what I believe: knowledge and connections become even more valuable when they are shared. That is why I keep opening doors, bringing professionals together and creating spaces where other women can grow their careers, expand their networks and reach new opportunities.
